Course prerequisites:

Certified as a PADI Open Water Diver, or equivalent (ISO 24801-2)
Minimum age: 12

The Advanced Open Water Diver course is designed to certify you to dive beyond 18m/60ft, and have a more in-depth understanding of underwater navigation. The course also uses adventure dives to introduce you to three specialties of your choosing. These adventure dives can involve diving in different environments or using specialized equipment. Common adventure dives that are chosen include Night, Wreck, Boat, Search and Recovery, Full Face Mask, and many more! See a list of specialties HERE.

The PADI Advanced Open Water Diver course is divided into two phases -
Knowledge Development and Open Water Dives.


Knowledge Development
Classroom instruction or Online eLearning you can do at your own pace.
You'll learn deep diving principles and underwater navigation. You will also be introduced to three specialties of your choosing.
Open Water Dives
Dive in different environments and use specialized equipment under the supervision of an instructor.
You will conduct a total of 5 dives. The dives will consist of one deep dive and one underwater navigation dive. You will then conduct one adventure dive for each specialty you chose.
